The contractor initiates the funding request through the Merchant Portal, and the cardholder approves it in the Aven app. Once approved, Aven disburses the funds directly to the contractor. If a cardholder has funded a project with a HELOC secured by a California property, Aven will disburse the funds directly to the consumer and the consumer is responsible for paying the contractor.
